Celebrating Creativity, Community, and Compassion
Last weekend, the Port Imperial Ferry Terminal transformed from a busy commuter hub into a riverside gallery — filled with music, art, and connection. The Autumn in Port Imperial Art Festival invited neighbors, commuters, and artists to gather under one roof and celebrate creativity along the Hudson River.
The event was made possible by NY Waterway, whose partnership and generosity allowed us to bring this festival to life in such a unique space. We also thank our local sponsors — UPS West New York and YogaSix — for their community spirit and support.
Featured Artists
Each artist brought a unique voice to the evening, offering reflections on nature, transformation, and modern life:
🎨 Barbara HerMor — a visual artist and philosopher exploring transformation through compassion.
🎨 Bong Jung Kim — a painter creating harmony from discarded materials.
🎨 Clayton Morrell — a Brooklyn-based artist and educator capturing rhythm and motion in everyday life.
🎨 Jane Sklar — a digital painter blending photography and technology into luminous prints.
🎨 José M. Fontaiña, the one with the footstep — a painter whose abstract geometry embodies energy and playfulness.
🎵 Lalit Sritara — a songwriter making giggly musical theatre–inspired songs out of life.
🎷 Taku Murakami and MTK Jazz — bringing the soul and rhythm of the river to life.
A Night by the Hudson
Guests wandered among the exhibits, talked with artists, and listened to live performances as the sun set behind the skyline. What was once just a place of transit became a place of presence — a reminder that art connects us, even in the most unexpected spaces.
Continuing the Flow
The Port Imperial Art Festival is more than an event — it’s part of our continuing mission to make art and compassion part of everyday life. Through creative partnerships and community gatherings, Tiny Dancer aims to nurture spaces where imagination and kindness coexist.
